Anyone know of these being reproduced and aged in the ground?

Yes they are faked and have been for years.

I don't like the one shown. The red stamp is very large.

Ok thank you, are the stamps usually that shade of red? as well as a little smaller?

The stamp is much smaller. The red is indeed very bright. I know we have some images of some good number plates on the forum somewhere.
