Luftwaffe timer? What is it?

Hi guys, any suggestions, what was this timer used for? Marked DRP JSGUS, there is a clock mechanism inside. A lever on the face seems to be for switching between 2, 4 and 10 hours. There is a BAL stamp, so I think it is used for something by the Luftwaffe. Diameter of 6,6 cm. What is the red L letter for? What is the whole thing for? Thanks!

Niece piece. Does it work? If it does, what does it do?
I know that this Isgus Company made time management systems, e.g. punch clocks, and do to this day. Perhaps, it's something like that.

Yes, it works very well, the black key on the front winds the spring.

I believe all it does is very slowly rotating the axis on the back side. This times has been a part of something and it was slowly rotating something in that unknown device that it was a part of
