    Default M30 Gasmask/Canister

    Hi Guys,

I normally don't pay a lot of attention on TR items, but if something that are good enough for me, I'll take them.

The following TR items were acquired two weeks ago, also my first TR item of the year!

It's a set of M30 Gas-mask and canister, they are matching, both with "23" written on.

The canister was produced in 1939, the M30 mask was 1940. Both webbing straps are on the can, no marking visible. There is an interesting "Volcano" maker stamp on the latch, what would be the maker?

There are one set of spare lanes inside the compartment (Dated 1936). This example has an aluminum insert inside. Sadly, no retaining spring and cleaning cloth. Outside bottom doesn't have the "D" stamped on.

The M30 mask was the 3rd (final) model. A size 2. AUERG (A.E.G.) made. Filter is FE 41. The filter came without the protective cover.

Here are the photos, any comments welcome.

    Enjoy!

I used to have a Luftwaffe set, but traded few years ago, so this is my second example.

Yes, I did tried it on (without my glasses), to me it's rather fine, lol !

    Cheers!

Nice set! A shame the spring and cleaning cloth is missing (as is often the case) as replacements run to 30-40 euro if you can find them.
