Hi

Continuing the never ending task of cateloguing 30 plus years of collecting tat has moved onto my map case draw.

These are instruments that would have been carried in the map case and used for calculating distances and other tasks....

Those of us who remember the good old days before sat navs and gps took us down long winding country roads and into rivers that arn't supposed to be there we used to have a thing called a map................here are some to refresh the memory of the good old days.




Of course these pieces of paper where of no use if you didn't know how to use them or read them. As such learning orienteering was vital.

Bit more map case equipment....the plastic sleeve for the keeping the map safe and allowing the officers to make marks on the front cover without damaging the map



plus the carrying case for protracors....
