From these photos, this canteen is the standard type from 1931. The design of the felt cover indicates that it's the usual 80 cl type, not the 1 liter canteen...metal parts are quite rusted and the rivet visible by the buckle is a later addition (stitchings may be broken)

Thanks Philip, appreciate your help, then this changes it all, if I may ask, since, still not a medical item, is by all means an original item, but have no clue as to what price would be a fair one, could you maybe give me some lead on it?

From what i can see on these photos, the canteen is original.
It may have been a canteen used by a Sanitäter for his personal use, but it's not the type used for his duty....
We usually dont give appraisal for items shown on the forum, but as already stated the condition is not great and the price should reflect it...if the price is too high, then it's not worth it as you can find many canteens in better condition on the Internet.
