I was wondering if anybody has a clue if this is military or civilian. Only marks I found are J.D. Moeller Wedel. It has no grid. Rich A. in Pa.

Looked them up - still in business. No grid could mean it is just an observation monocular. Does it have a mount receptacle in the base? NH
They made binoculars and scissor binoculars in WWII. Could not find a monocular or trench scope like this on line. NH
Thanks. I could not find anything. No mount of any type. I should do a pic of the eye piece area. Call and come over to look at it if you have time. Rich A. in Pa.

Ahh, believe it or not, I was going to suggest this was cut down. Apparently, it is a Scherenfernrohr with the grid side removed. S.F. 14 Z.Gi is the designation that would be on the missing side. NH
