Mortar, Grenade carrier?? Help me identify these please.

Article about: They are about 17" X 3 1/2". I searched carefully for any markings but found none. Could they be German? Stumped. Cheers, Oz.

    Yes but post war Bundeswehr - you can see one at the far right of this photograph of my helmet bookcase.

    I bought it years ago thinking it was a WW2 German shell carrier ......

    Thank you Dan! Did Aussie Surplus or someone import a batch? I have seen a few of these about. What years would these have been produced and what did they carry?

    No idea - ive had mine for 20 years must have picked it up from a disposal store but can't remember.
