    Hello my friends.
This is my second gas mask and canister (waiting to arrive..).
After my search to gasmasklexikon.com (thanks to ziomanno)
i found out that the gas mask is a GTG Vollmaske 8533 A.
My question is about the canister. Looks like an AUER canister but it has no maker logo on the top and is slight different from the examples in the site...
Can anyone recognize the type? are the straps original?

    Thank you in advance.

Hello, the filter is curious, any marking on ?
    The slings also.(too thick)
No marking on the piece under the black rubber.
I don't know this mask for WWII.

Hi lebus. The mask is a postwar item. I don't know about the canister, if its a pre or wartime item. The thick slings
is a sign of postwar construction?

I suppose, during the war the sling were thin.

Yours sure looks thinner! The colour of mine is also different, much lighter.
Maybe a variation or post war?

Yes WW2 straps are thin. The thicker web is Bundeswehr and much like British ww2 webbing.

So Danmark you say that my straps (as seen from the photos) are Bundeswehr? Any comment about the canister?
And thank you guys for the help !!

Yes look at Lebus' straps - much finer webbing.
