Here are my two M37 Mapcases purchased from forum members - thanks !
Brown one is marked Heinrich Sohn Neu-Ulm 1938 and looks to be named to Lt.Recht.
Black one doesn't have makers mark but it is named to Polish Sergeant H.Baranski from 1 Company of 64 Pomorski Batalion Piechoty from the 2nd Corps. It was most likely captured in Italy in 1944/45.

    Any feedback is appreciated !

    Hello George,
They're nice mapcases...it seems to me that the Brown is more shiny than the last time i've seen it...
perhaps a little bit of cleaning...
By the way, they're not M35 mapcases, but rather M37 as both have a closure strap with buckle/prong.
black example is middle to late war (black leather and steel buckle without rolling bar)
    Thanks

Not so much cleaning - just a wipe down :-)
Thanks for the correction - I went with nomenclature used online.

    Thanks !

nice mapcases, here is my pre war version, nicely marked to a number of Luftwaffe units and named to the original owner and the soldier who captured it.

I have some pencils that are said to be period, I'll have to take some pictures and start a thread to get opinions.

Yeh, it looks to have had a rank pip, a Luftwaffe cap eagle and as a best guess a panzer collar totenkopf.
