    I think they're Austrian maybe? I saw a lot of these for sale for barely anything at a militaria and arms fair a while back, I should have grabbed some of them.

    Just checked, I am quite sure they are Austro-Hungarian shovels from WW1, they were also used in WW2 by Axis forces.

    I think it is Austrian ww1,first shovel have Wartberg marks,second shovel no have marks,i see same austrian shovel on net.I was paid 15 euro for this two pieces.Sorry for bed english and thanks.

    I think they are austrain WW1 or WWI Russain, not 100% sure. I know they are not German WWI either. A fellow collector told me that WWI German shovel has sort of a half reinforce ring around the back. Then on the black itself near the wood there is a fold over on each side. Sorry a picture would be better.

    Hello,
    The Austro-Hungarian empire's army used pointed blades shovels, the ones shown here may be of this origin, most likely austrian made. Russian imperial shovel didn't have pointed blades. I do own several examples of russian imperial shovels produced between 1905 and 1914 that have been seized by the Austro-Hungarian army during WWI and of which the blade has been resized from straight to pointed...The WWII german army used any shovel available in germany or occupied Europe until the end of the war.
