The decals are not just made of "paint". Without being an expert on decals i can say they are made of metals and other microscopic particles. I guess that's why they are preserved so well.

I decided to put paint because I didn't really know what to call it.....
Also, nice panzerfraust crate!!! Have to say that I haven't seen one yet besides in old pictures from the time

It was not meant like that I didnot even notice you wrote paint. I don't know exactly how decals was made but they are quite tough.
