    Default New buy: respirator

Hi Guys, I bought this one a few weeks ago now but have only just had time to take some pics.

As you can see, it is pretty complete with spare lens and cleaning cloth and spring. It just lacks the short strap. So now I am in the market for one by the same maker as the long strap: "ebd".

I like the fact it is matching numbers to the tin and the mask and is named. Any ideas on the name?

It was also a very good price: £45.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Thanks for the kind comments.

The nice price was in aid of a favour I did the seller in appraising many items for him and making him a good sale.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Hello,

Ade : is the strap a new addition to the canister or is it on it since the war ?

Hi JP, well the strap has been on it for the past 20 odd years, that much I do know.

The strap was actually one of the things which motivated me to buy it. As you know, good wartime straps are not common any more.

    Cheers, Ade.
