    Hello all,

    I haven't the slightest idea about what to look for in original Y-Straps, so I was wondering if you guys could take a look and help me learn a thing or two!

    These Y straps look to be of mid to late war construction there are a couple of tell tale signs in the construction that point to this such as the use of steel instead of aluminum in there construction .
    I will leave you with a link to a decent website that points out a lot of the details in Y-strap's and other field gear,

    Steel,grey-enameled fittings were used on Y straps as early as 1940/1941.This set looks absolutely period and original from where I stand!
