Original German mess tin?

Article about: I wanted to buy an mess tin for my collection but i want an original tin. Can someone help me if this is an original mess tin and how much its worth? Is the paint legit? Is the strap legit?

    It is original but the lid and pot are not matching. Need better pictures of the strap to say anything about it.

    It looks to be original, I don't know about the belt though. I'm by no means an expert in anything and I only own one. Better wait for more opinions.

    As stated, an original mismatched mess-kit, can't comment on the strap...In the field, often one man would be sent off with a load of canteens and/or mess-kits of his fellows to be filled/washed...mix-ups were bound to occur...just one possible scenario to explain the mismatching numbers on the mess-kit lid/body...

    There are no marks on the strap Visor.
