I have ammo belt with markings : B 8 39 - WaA 642 code.
my question is B 8 39 whether it is a month and year?

39 will be the date not sure what the other markings mean

I would assume that the '8' would stand for August.

Belt made in august 1939 and B is the maker, I search it

642 = Boehme und Co, Dr. Jng., Werk Minden, Werksleitung Lüdenscheid, Nordrhein-Westfalen, so I think B is for Boehme....
