Please help me to check are these WWII-like post war German gas mask sets?is the canvas style canister a rare one?thanks a lot.

I would say they are post war. The first one being an earlier model, I think...

I think that the first cannister is a reconditioned second world war type, I'm not to sure, but the mask is a post war GM54, the second cannister is also post war.

I dont think they are as common as the second type of cannister you have, but I've seen plenty of both types. And I think you done alright getting them for $50, mine cost £20

No problem and thanks I'm hardly a master in this exact area (WW2 German Gas Masks etc) as I mainly focus on the developement of British Gas Masks from the Second World War to the present day
