    I may be mistaken, but I always thought that this style attached directly to the Y-Straps, I didn't know there were special straps provided for these...

    They are pretty common IMHO. As Glenn said they are for the Y-straps, unless this is a variant i don't know about. Nice pack. It's a tropical pack. Price range 100-200$.

    Hi,

    Thanks for all replies. I know the rucksack will "work" with y-straps and a-frame.
    The straps I am thinking about are like the ones pictured.

    Hello,
    You need a pair of leather or web Y-straps for this Rucksack.
    It is not a mountain troops Rucksack. The Mountain troops Rucksack has attached carrying straps as mountain troops were not issued with Y-straps, design is also slightly different.
