A slightly different german belt...
Hello Gentlemen,
Yesterday evening, i was at home with a friend of mine who also collects german army artifacts and we were talking while watching a period photo...
On the photo the Unteroffizier Sepp is wearing a strange leather belt with an aluminium buckle. We came to the agreement that he was wearing a foreign produced belt reworked to german status before being reissued...we thought it might be a prewar czech belt...

This morning, we went to a local militaria fair.....and guess what.....yes...
I found a reworked czech belt. What a strange feeling. I could not believe it. At first sight, the way it was rolled, i saw no difference with a standard leather belt, but when in hands, i spotted the all thing right away....

You have got some good eyes to see that from your picture !! Guess I was busy admiring the tunics & caps to notice the belt
