Soldier cutlery set

Article about: I have seen this set, but am unsure if it is a mix of wartime and post-war. The front piece is eagle marked, the fork is numbered 2089 and the spoon 1089. Nothing on the knife. Any thoughts

    I have seen this set, but am unsure if it is a mix of wartime and post-war. The front piece is eagle marked, the fork is numbered 2089 and the spoon 1089. Nothing on the knife. Any thoughts appreciated.

    Hi Al, from what I can see here, it looks fine. There are several versions of these.

    Generally only the holder is eagle marked.

    I have shown mine on the forum. See a link at the bottom of this page to forum member Model40's collection of these.
