SS Frostbite Salve
was surfing the web yesterday looking for affordable militaria. i came across this ss frostbite salve on a dealers website, it was cool and affordable, so i was like, ah what the heck, ill get it. does anyone else have any of these? if so please show, i would like to see some others!!!!

These tins of rarified Vaseline have been on the collector market for some years now, and the general concensus is they are bogus. Why is it SS marked? Why is there no SS toothpaste, SS condoms, SS aspirin or SS bikini line waxing creme?
Because it didn't exist, that's why.

I have a tube of frost bite salve somewhere that is SS marked, it was chucked in as a freebie

There is a school of thought that these are original items that surfaced in bulk at one time or another........and also modern reproductions being made.
No definitive answer I'm afraid.
