    Looks good Steve, and I believe 'Sandrik' was the only maker of the SS marked fuel cans, hard to find good ones, nice catch !!
    (I have never handled a real one, so just going on your photos).

    You are correct Bob, Sandrik is the only maker. There are several other points to check to be sure it is original. Red enamel throat, fully welded handle, correct hole placement in lid latch, and a round vent tube in the throat are all essential for an original kannister.

    Thanks for the extra info Steve, I have sprung for the new book on Kannisters, and am waiting on the postman to deliver my copy, that
    will certainly assist me with a few of the finer points of the fuel cannisters. I have one Heer example, but wouldn't mind grabbing a few more
    down the track a bit...
