I am thinking of selling this and I wondered if anyone would be good enough to give me some idea of market value, as I have had it a long time. I realise than many people do not like to give valuations, but hopefully someone will. By PM will be fine if that suits better.

Nicely maker marked and dated 1940, so for the MG34 but no doubt it might have been used for the MG42. Camo overpainted rather than factory issued in this colour and with some stenciled markings that have been said to be a unit marking of some kind, though not something I know for certain.

Hi Jerry, i have seen the boxes for 60+ euros.
    But never tan painted.
So i have no idea of a correct value.
What numbers are you thinking of?

    Cheers

Thanks Nuno for the quick reply.

The same for me, I have seen the tins going for £40 - 60, but never another tan camo example which is why I have a problem. I always try to price my items for a good price a little below market value (when known), but at the same time I don't want to give then away.

Was it tan or other camo, or original paint? Was it unit marked or otherwise stenciled? Thanks Pete for the input, much appreciated.

I have seen these for 35 euros on European dealers sites recently - tan but much more used and abused than yours.

Hi! I am OK it's overpainted, but why inside? Very curious, no leather part...Perhaps a box for export.
