Are these 7x56 binoculars Kreigsmarine ?

Hi

These binoculars are also proving hard to place. Can anyone help please ?

They are 7x56 which is different and maker marked bmj for Hensoldt. I believe they are wartime but have no dates on them. Also could they be KM issue ?

Not my area of experise (in fact I don't have an area of expertise !) but am hoping to learn...any guidance gratefully received.

These are indeed wartime issue service binoculars. This larger type is quite desirable too....But unless they're KM marked or marked "M" under the Waffenamt I don't think there's any way to tell....I had a set identical to yours that were taken from the Ardennes battle...

More likely to be Heer, and a desirable set IMO. Are you sure they are not 7 x 50 ?

Might be 7x50 Jerry, my eyesight ain't what it used to be. It is written on them so I will check....

I checked the binocs and it definitely says 7x56 ?

any ideas, surry not a typo on the markings........

I did a search and found these on the WAF and they are very rare and were made for the KM. There are a few threads on these.
