Tropical Bread bag?
I have this German bread bag, that I believe to be made out webbed material, like the tropical gear, the leather parts of it are brown. the original loops on the top have been cut off (GI modified?) and then they sewed these leather loops on it. Would this be a Tropical bread bag or just a regular issue bread bag?

Hello! Not a tropical model because you have leather in place of web, look the site of Tom Nl
It is a standard Brotbeutel. Modified belt loops do not allow to date it for sure as we dont know if the original loops had the additional leather parts or not...
so with leather parts : 1941 to mid 42
without leather parts : mid 42 to late 44
Is there any sign of factory paint on the metal fittings ?

The breadbag is original why the belt loops were removed and replaced is anyone's guess timothy
