    welcome padre,
    do you know how many different variations of holsters for the p-38 around ww2 they had.we are new to this and ours is different from the 2 you posted.
    ours is brown with black leather (sticking out at the bottom) where the barrel would go.

    and do you know what the thin leather strap is for by the flap.ours is marked bnz p 38 on the inside flap. please don't laugh we are brand new to this. thanks tim m.

    bnz is the Gerrman code for Steyr-Daimler-Puch AG, Steyr, Austria
    The pistol rests on the inside strap and when the flap is raised the strap lifts the pistol
    for easier hold.

    This a Polish Radom Vis P.35p holster.Not a P.38 holster,hope this is helpful sometime after the post

    Never thought I woud hear two P38 holsters and their pistols instead of two P38's and their holsters...
