    Hi Guys
Just received a camera with interesting story.
Guy was tail gunner in RAF and befriended and Italian POW. They exchanged some items and this camera and material case was 1 of them. I have seen photos of him with POW and at POW site so no probs there. Just wondering if anyone knows if this was privately made bag or some type of military issue?
The camera cost next to nothing so its just for my personal knowledge.
    Regards
    Dan
P.s. pics off camera phone so sorry if poor quality.

    Hi,

The bag looks like a German Gas Mask spare filter pouch with the belt loop cut off and a shoulder strap affair added. A better use for it with what I suppose would have been a valuable camera back then.

hi, i agree with jock , it looks like a german bag for a spare gasmask filter. definitely not an italian army issue bag. nice bag, by the way !

Thanks for the comments, I never thought it was Italian kit... I originally thought it was German kit for cameras so it was nice to here it had another purpose
