Guys
I am very new to field gear, in fact I only have a gas mask and canister so far!
What do you think about this item please?
Many thanks
Nick

I am dubious of it.

I don't beleive such an item existed. Plus there is simply no age to the item.
Cheers, Ade.

I can't comment on the originality of the field dressing in this post. In Norway, these fielddressings have been used postwar, for instructional purposes, so a lot of german field dressings have been rediscovered in army depots. I spoke to a collector a couple of years ago. He told me that he had bought a cardboard box, full of field dressings from an army surplus auction, and a small number of them was SS marked. I have never seen them personally, so I am not able to say, if they are similar, to the one in the post.
All the best

Hello, I was on the field in Normandy, Alsace during 25 years and never saw such item. Why make such thing, they have the standard field dressing.
Thanks for your comments guys, I am staying away from it
