    Hi Neil

    I understand why you say that, problem however is that after the war, both east and west germany called themselves Germany, believing they were the only legitimate Germany...... that's why a lot of post war products carry the mark "Made in Germany"

    Barring any other evidence I guess we have to go on the art work and contents. I think Esbit kept its stylized logo until the 60s? They changed to a block lettering style later on. I have some Esbit fuel from the 70s and 80s. NH

    "Third Reich". I don't like these modern collector abbreviated terms. They can cause confusion like now.

    Apologies all. I picked up the acronym "TR" from this site - never used it before. I shall endeavor to use the full English term Third Reich or the German term Das Dritte Reich from this point on. I will avoid the use of the "N" word. : ) NH
