    Default Wehrmacht Artillery Measuring Tool

    Hey Guys,

Please take a look at my Wehrmacht artillery computer/calculator/measuring device. The leather case and tool is marked CME WaA538 for the factory Wichmann located in Berlin in 1941. I know they are not real common. Something a little different from my field gear stash I just photographed for my website. Thought the numeral folks might like it or the engineer brainiacs. Kind of boring next to an SS Dagger I know but enjoy for what it is worth.

    Hi Rossi,
Certainly not a boring item. It has a history part of which is researchable. I read the number under the owners name as 37873 B ( I might have this wrong, but thats how I see it. And if its wrong then the correct number is still traceable). Assuming it is 37873 B, then it came from Stab II Inf R. 289. With this info you should be able to trace where the unit was deployed.... and that can lead you finding out more of its history. To me that helps bring the item to life... almost.
Nice find, I have the case but no contents.

I'll be honest. I'd rather have that than a boring ss dagger any day.
