Nice any of the marking readable?
First photos not visible for me.
Something must have gone wrong. Don't know where the angry smiley comes from...
Hello,
Markings should be located inside ot outside the top of the shaft. You can find some also between the heel and the sole.
These two pairs of boots are not regulation, IMO both are private purchased items.
It's quite obvious concerning the first pair, too many wrong features can be seen, no shark's nose, reinforcing leather band at the back is sewn outside, two parts sole...etc...for the second pair it's less obvious as it has 90 % of all features required, but if regulation, the shaft wouldn't be leather lined like here. The main giveaway when looking from outside being the line of horizontal sewing around the base of the shaft, sewing meant to maintain the lining at the bottom. Even if more used, the second pair is far more interesting and representative of the WWII german footwear...
Thanks

Thank you for the thorough answer. Do you have some pics for reference? The second pair was also the most expensive. So the conclusion is that some soldier bought the boots at home or got them "shipped" here somehow. They are not Wehrmacht issued boots.
