Article about: Received this cool Wehrmacht jerrycan today that would display great! never saw one for sale here in Holland so when i saw this one i just had to buy it .. do you guys have german jerrycans

    Received this cool Wehrmacht jerrycan today that would display great! never saw one for sale here in Holland so when i saw this one i just had to buy it .. do you guys have german jerrycans yourself??

    Nice find,,how much did you give for it? I have one WH wasser can, panzer black, with white crosses sparayed on,,and two gasoline Jerrys,,will see if I can snap a few pics of them today

    I also have a black with white cross example on the back of my 1943 GPW, adds a little colour! Thats a nice condition example you got there though

    I payed 50,- euro's for it.. i have no idea if that's a good price for a can like this??

    I think thats what they go for here in Norway too. I was lucky and got mine off farmers in the area and found one of them in a barn I searched once

    You've acquired a genuine piece, well done. It is an AMBI-BUDD (Berlin Presswerk) example. Sadly, it has been painted over - the Wasserkanister was always marked with a large white "+" symbol - as can be seen on examples shown in the link. A white "w" was often painted underneath the handle section too.

    This is very true, I see them regularly. Testament to how well they were manufactured.

    Here is my Wasser can,,Should give it a Oxalic bath to get some rust off it
