I've noticed this too. The one you refer to looks brand new, unissued !
My guess is that most all of them are repro, but this one seems to be
of decent quality, judging from the photo of the innards....

Well, here's one original Helios, marked DH, in working condition. The price asked is approx. 200 Euros. (I'm not the seller!)

Heres a WWII Kriegsmarine watch and its still works -
Also an older pocket watch from a WWI German Vet who carried it while on duty in WWI in a shock proof case, one has to remember that in those days they didnt have shockproof watches. Note that the shockcase is DRGM marked - Attached is also a Vet. FOB. Got this a number of years ago directly from the German vet while in Germany.

Well, at least the three above are original old watches to my eye
but there are quite a lot on E-bay these days claiming to be military,
and I think most of these must be reproductions.

Usually genuine military watches, or any older watch for that matter,
show normal wear - particularly noticable on the crown. Faces are
faded somewhat and flourescent paint on the hands is discoloured
and starting to break down. The ones I've seen on E-bay exhibit
    none of this...............
