    I think it's a German foodcontainer. 'Gewürz' means 'Spice'.

    This piece of kit belongs to a horse drawn fild kitchen kit, there were bakelite containers for tea and coffee as well. There used to be loads of hem here on the Island but they have long since rotted away in the tunnels where all the German kit was dumped.
