    Default WW2 German Fettbusche

    Hi Guys,
Recently bought this fettbusche from a chap in Poland. It is in quite good condition, opens in 'just under a quarter turn' & is the orange variation (the colour is truest when you look at the makers mark in the pictures). The overall weight is 104 gramms, the diameter of the lid is112 mm, the diameter of the base (measured at the lip below the thread) is 110.3 mm & the diameter of base (below the lip) is 100.8 mm. The lid & base are both maker marked with 24,K (the font is slightly different on each part), also the lid has a 5 at the bottom of the mark & the base has a 2, can't figure that bit out (were 5s lids & 2s bases ?) !

Cheers Tom, I can see that, seems as though they've always been together, wonder if the thick 'tyre tread' thread makes this an early one ?
