Any help appreciated as to the originality of this field phone. Thank you, nic.

The description on the website is "WW2 German Model 1933 field phone by Siemens. The phone unit dated 1940, so is the winder,the hand set dated 1943, with a very nice WaA stamp. The whole item in good condition,with no foreign markings.
The unit appears to be in working order (if you place some wire between the two terminals, press the white button and wind, it rings! ) German phonetic alphabet to the lid."

I have one of these and no problem with it. Never really took a close look at it. I will be willing to confirm my comment after i take a look at mine later this week (unless some one els leaves input).

Again i see nothing wrong. mine is dated 1940 with a m38 phone to it which i believe it correct.
yours on the other hand is later example which seems to have the mid war correct phone.
Unless there is extra stuff involed dont spend over $150 for it.
On nomanlandmilitaria there is one for $110

This is no typical telephone, it's Kriegsmarine version (yellow stripe instead green on write plate) used by coast artillery. The difference is in the microphone coil and that model have extra hardware on side to attach specjal headset.
It will work with standard telephone.
It's quite rare, so it's good price

A key component to identifying a WWII era German field phone is the alphabet code panel on the lid. If the phone was used post war it was replaced with one from the country that used it or with a NATO panel. If you get a second phone try to obtain a matching WWII example. The Ff 63 that replaced the Ff 33 will work but they have different volume levels. NH
