WW2 rucksack - but which type?

Article about: Hey guys! I just bought a rucksack but not sure which type it is. Not the 2 pocket M31 nor the 3 pocket 'Gebirgs' and a bit big for the single pocket 'Artillery' Any ideas? ..... but its in

    maybe try and fit some german items in there, you know, items that every soldier would have had access to. Could have been an edit in the war but it really doesnt look edited.

    Hi again,

    Well I picked up ANOTHER rucksack - this one is a 1942 dated small sack ( like the "Artillery" sack but it has straps?? )

    I had read that the early Artillery rucks did have straps ..... any experts out there who know for sure?

    The amount of varieties is mind boggling - but it DOES give you things to pack other TR junk into!!!

    Thanks Rene, these are starting to grow on me!
    3 tornisters, 2 M31 officers clothing bags, 2 rucksacks and 12 breadbags / brotbeutel.

    Very nice, you're short a mountain pack (bugger I haven't ever taken a pic of mine) and a signals pack

    I'm guessing that rucksacks dont have a lot of fans on this forum?
