    Default WWI or WWII messkit?

    Hi,
I got this messkit a gift. I know it's an old type of German messkit from the First World War.
It is made of steel and enamel, as can be seen in the pictures. But I heard that during the period of the TR that type messkit used by paramilitary organizations. I can't see any marks, I mean it is unmarked.
    Please give me your opinion.
    Thanks, Aleksandar

Looks like a WW1 mess kit to me. I believe the SA used a similar type but theirs are painted black. Hopefully someone else will confirm if i'm right about that.

I think that the bigest problem is unmarks...
I hope that messkit is German in anyway.

It is indeed a German Model 1910 Messkit -this is a late-war enameled version-...as issued during WWI and postwar by the Reichswehr...
They were also commonly used by the various Paramilitary Organizations in the 1920-30s and plenty of them were reused during WWII as well...

Yes, Glenn is quiet right, I have a very similar late war enameled version dated 18.
