WWII German 3rd Reich pin?

Greetings! I have another very special item I had put away in my jewelry box. I was given this recently and was told that the woman found this cleaning offices in Berlin in 1945. Is this authentic and does it have any special meaning?

Thank you in advance. I've been a "guest" lurker here for some time but decided to make an account for occasional posting. As for any details, it is made with steel and the measurement is in the photo. Other than that I don't know much about this particular piece.

This appears to be an original German veterans association stickpin.

I forget the German name. Others can provide it I'm sure. Edit: Just remembered. It is Deutscher Kriegerbund

Kyffhauserbund - a Veterans organisation - I believe these
are in aluminum. 'Ges Gesch' translates to 'Trade Mark'.
Someone may reply with the maker '6'.........

I always get confused between the Kyffhauserbund and the Kriegerbund...
