WWII German Green Bakelite canteen cup. REAL or Reproduction??

Article about: I recently got in a bakelite German canteen cup and was wondering if it's original or a reproduction?...It's got a small "3" on the inside of the cup. And the markings seen on top.

    Yep, i've seenoriginals allright.....

    I even bought one once, but it got lost in the mail from the Ukrain.... (Did get my money back, so it was a loss for the seller ......

    I still don't have one, but i do have a light beige coloured one.....

    I actually bought a black cup from a flea market for like 200 rubles. i saw that it was chipped and realized that it was actually a green bakelite repainted!

    The tap test is the easiest as Tom mentioned. I did see one green copy in the field at Fort Indiantown Gap this year. I was waiting for someone to call out the owner as a Farb but it didn't happen! NH

    Ha, yea! That's probably the reason mine got painted black: someone said 'this can't be real!'
