Default Y straps, same RBNr but different years?

    Hey guys,
Here is a set of Y straps with the same RBNr (0/0250/2109) but different years (1943/1944). Sorry if this is really obvious, but any theories on how this would have occurred?
I'm assuming that Y straps would be marked only once with an RBNr and year?
So these have had a replacement strap added?

    thanks again guys

The leather would be cut out in bulk and marked up and then sewn together. I don't see any evidence of the straps being restitched from the pics shown? So just a set made up early in 1944 would be my best guess.

I can tell you the firm that made them was located in Berlin.

    Cheers, Ade.
