    Hi

Looks to be a good one, but to be honest, it's the 1st one I see with aluminium grommets and RB-number.... ???

So I am a little bit suspicious about the stamp .....

Tom, No - the older examples I have include manufacturer's names.

That's what I mean... I have (older) ones with aluminium hardware too, but as far as I know they stopped usingi Alu on Zelts somewhere in 40/41..... RB Numbers were introduced in 43, so a Zeltbahn with alu hardware and RB Number is somewhat strange.....

JP ?? Have you ever encountered one of these ?

Consider a manufacturer may have had boxes of grommets from the year before still in stock - they would use them up until they were replaced with other material. Not unusual at all. NH

I have never seen a stamp with ink this clear - considering the wear to the fabric I would have expected a more faded stamp.

( by 'wear' I mean washing - while it is in excellent condition you can see the abrasion of the material from general handling and surface fading )
