    Hello,
    If i'm not mistaking, it has the "open weave pattern" (as some collectors call it), which means that raindrops were simplified.
    Why don't you post a photo showing the maker's mark ?
    Too bad for the missing buttons.

    There is no makers mark stamp present other than the stamp in the last photo.
    Should I get the buttons and add them ?

    Nice zeltbahn....if you had ever added a button to one before you would'nt be asking that question ! Also you need to find a lot of buttons !

    buy one with buttons would be my best advice.

    I actually learned that late war zeltbahns came both with and without buttons - so it never had button.
    I will probably buy an early one with the buttons in the future.
