Share Your Finnish Photos

Article about: Hah! Yeah, I am quite proud to have such great men among my ancestors, like many others have. I unfortunately don't have any of his items, though I've began hunting for his closest relatives

I run a Finnish history blog on Tumblr, with a few people as part of it as well, where I post photos concerning Finnish war history. I normally take photos from SA-kuva.fi, delete the watermarks (just for aesthetic purposes only, I always tell that the photo is from and owned by sa-kuva.fi), also I change the contrast and crop the photo.

Anyways, here is a photo that I really liked and posted there.

Finnish soldiers in trenches, after retaking the hill that Soviet troops captured from the Finns. Dead Red Army soldiers can be seen laying on the ground.

I have seen a few photos the same and of the same train so must have been a real prize war booty item ,Do you know if the Fins put it into service ?

I've seen those photos too and the train on newsreels. I don't know if it was put to service, but I'd suspect so.
