The bird on the handle?

Hi! I have my doubts about the bird..What are your opinions?the original or a replacement? sits firmly,without movements

I think it's a "bad bird" Ollar. What you have is an Eickhorn from 1930-33 period, Berlin Polizei, but I think that is a repro eagle. Also I think the alloy rivets are slightly too small, and are replacement ones fitted when the eagle was fitted. Most likely this was a post war de-nazified side arm and has had a TR eagle refitted later post war. But in this case I think it's a repro eagle as well. Seems also to have a gold tinge if originally gilt plated?

I would have doubts myself, not in hand to me the eagle looks like a most probably cast reproduction. Best Regards, Fred
