    A lovely bayonet.

I think SB is "Schutzpolizei Berlin", very nice to have matching bayonet and scabbard.

    Might I ask the price?

    Cheers

Yes authentic Weimar/Third Reich Polizei seitengewehr. Very nice condition, blade shortened around 1936.

It was up for auction but the seller cancelled it. What's the reasonable price for this dagger?

    Hi Joypark333,

We really don’t assess value here as it is usually subjective based on seller and buyer. It also depends on overall condition, maker and rarity. If stampings match the scabbard throat and the cross guard they command a little more. A ballpark on these pieces can be $750-$1000 if that helps you. Have a good weekend!

Police bayonets are not scarce at all so it pays to wait for a nicely conditioned one, preferably one with matching unit marks. The originally posted bayonet was nice enough but unremarkable as the scabbard seemed to have some flaking to the leather on the obverse & a stitching split on the reverse.

$750-$1000 is bordering on dealer prices IMHO, I would stick with $650 & less, based on general availability. Special bayonets though bring whatever the market will tolerate
