    Default Pre-1955 Soviet Flag?

    Hi guys!

This supposedly came out of a veteran's estate in New Jersey. It looks period to me, but what do you guys think? WWII-era Soviet flags are rare birds, for sure.

    Thanks,
    Mo

Hi Mo, looks ok to me.

Hard to say if it was actually Soviet made or not.

    Cheers, Ade.

Hi Ade, thanks for your input. I didn't think about whether or not it is Soviet-made. I guess it could have been made in a variety of places. Either way, it looks old enough, and I like it. haha

    Hi ,

Personally i do not think it is a military flag.

I don't think it is, either. I'm not really sure what it was used for though.

Not an military flag in my opinion either, but the hammer and sickle are still pre-1953 pattern, which is nice.

I got the flag in the mail the other day. The construction, quality, and 'Russia' written on it make me think that it is U.S. manufacture, pre-1953, but used in a school. I can't think of any other reason why this flag would exist. I imagine it probably was hung up with a bunch of other flags in a history or geography classroom.

Either way, it's still super rare IMO. I am excited to have it. lol
