One of the things I found tonight, It is in salty shape but I am very fond of it. 1.5x2.5m and has the appropriate stamp and reenforced sewing. My only question, is it typical that the reenforced end to be sew over or is this an extra modification?

I can't answer your question, but I like your Kriegsflagge! These look nice with a bit of light damage, in my opinion.

Thanks I too like the salty look even though moths may have been part of the wear I like to think that it was possibly flown on some type of vessel during the war, and I can only imagine where it has been

I'm pretty sure I have seen that type of modification before. If I remember correctly this size of flag was the type that was flown in port off uboats. A nice find.

I cannot recall seeing the reinforced edge folded and sewn like this. I would have thought such alteration would actually result in more wind damage than not. But, who knows? It looks period done, so why they did it is a mystery.

Oops. I guess I'm a little tired. I was thinking of the 100x170. Still a nice flag though.
