DAF Town Flag "OSTEN"

I got this about ten years ago and was one of my first TR items collected. When I bought it , it was in pieces and I sewed them together until I can get a tailor to restore it properly. It is from the town "Osten" in Northern germany. There are five chrome suspension rings left. I paid $75, talked down from $100. Aint too bad!

The first photo on this post is an example of the DAF flag. However, that is not a German on the motorcycle, but an American GI donning a stahlhelm in front of the flag he captured.

Yeah I noticed after taking the picture. I didnt sew that on though, I just layed it on top for the photo...good thing I didnt!Thanks for the heads up, though!

Shame the elements were removed from this flag. You must be sure to align
the cog in the exact position it was in before it was cut off, as well as
the ID patch, as Horst mentioned..........
