    Thanks Ned.

He did not include any commentary about it when he sent the images.

Can and will you elaborate further?

I'll have a guess that it may be an early piece of Nazi propaganda as it urges 'Germany Awake!' and has the date of Germany's withdrawal from the League of Nations on the 21st of October 1933 so that it could ignore the Versailles agreement and start rebuilding it's armed forces without let or hindrance. But that is all I can think of.

What does it say to you Richie?

    Ned,

It tells me nothing other than the fact that what you wrote makes sense.

I wonder what the ORTSGRUPPE is?

In my rusty german, Ortsgruppe would be the group location (place group for a literal translation) Fuerth-nord: north Fuerth (sorry, no umlaut on my keyboard) Now off to google the name Oops, Franz beat me to it, but it's just northwest of Nuremburg.

I do not know what to say when it comes to this piece. The construction is not of the quality of any DE I have ever seen. Secondly, the flag appears to be that of a NSDAP Ortsgruppen or local branch. The problem is the NSDAP NEVER had DE flags. They were carried by elements of the S A, N S K K, S S and N S F K. The style is also that of a Reiter or Motor unit. I muat be a skeptic when it comes to this piece. I am attaching pictures of a N S K K M70 D E from Gelsenkirchen. This pattern of construction was used exclusively since the late 1920's. The difference in quality is very evident. To me, the flag that started this thread does not make any sense.

    Hello Bob,

Perhaps this image shows this banner in a much better perspective:

    Hi Richie-
This is certainly not an official flag. If anything, it is a home made table top decoration. Without any solid provenance, it is not something I would have in my collection. The latest image at least shows it to be smaller than a flag.
