Extremely early NSDAP flag. .....original?

Hey guys, my buddy picked this up from a picker along with a salty podium banner. It doesn't look right to me, fonts are not German style,date is not centered....quality is very poor, but in 1923 I'm not sure how much quality was put into things. Any help would be great! Thanks in advance!

I agree that the this piece is incorrect. As you said, the patches show no resemblance to anything from the period. The roundal is too small and the whole thing is likely 4th Reich.
